The majority of Desejo products will be supplied with a protective dustbag, which should always be used for storing your bag. This will help prevent the bag from getting scratched or dirty when it is not being used. If you have misplaced the dustbag, or one has not been provided a soft natural cotton pillowcase can also be used. Leather handbags must not be stored in bags made of plastic or other non porous material.
Handle your bag only with clean hands, and avoid handling immediately after using beauty products.
When storing the bag for longer periods stuff with bubble wrap to help to maintain the shape.
A cloth slightly dampened with water is suitable for cleaning lighter marks from your Desejo bag, which should then be patted dry with kitchen paper.
Specialised leather conditioning and cleaning products can sometimes be used on some Desejo leather handbags, as can saddle soap (used for cleaning and maintaining horse riders' saddles). These products should be applied gently with a non abrasive cloth in a circular motion. The cleanser or conditioner should always be applied to the cloth, as opposed to directly onto the surface of the bag, to avoid a build up of concentrated areas of product which may cause discolouration. Always test the product on a small area of the bag that isn't highly visible, such as the bottom, and leave to dry to ascertain if staining or colouration is going to occur.
